Taipei Taoyuan International Airport Terminals

Taipei Taoyuan Airport is the largest and busiest international gateway in Taiwan.

It serves as the main hub of the following companies: EVA Air, China Airlines, Uni Air and Tigerair Taiwan.

 

 

Present & future

There is a project to build a new Terminal Building “Terminal 3” to increase the capacity of Taipei airport and handle up 45 million passengers (by 2020) and also to build an additional terminal, Terminal 4.

 

 

Inter-terminal transportation

Both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are connected by a free shuttle bus outside and by the Skytrain inside the terminal facilities, which stands for the free transportation passenger mover.

 

The Skytrain connects Terminal 1 Departures and Arrivals Hall at the first level with its concourses and Terminal 2 Departures Hall and its concourses.

 

Opening hours: From 06:00 am to 10:00 pm, frequency is of 2-4 minutes, from 10:00 pm to 00:00 am, frequency is of 4-8 minutes. At night, there is call mode, which by doing this, passengers will be able to board Skytrain by pressing a button.


On the other hand, the free shuttle bus between terminals connect both terminals.

 

Opening hours: From 06:00 am to 11:00 pm. Transfer time between terminals is 10 minutes.

Additionally, passengers may also transfer between terminals by the Airport MRT, which stands for the train service between Taipei Airport and downtown.

 

Opening hours: From 05:59 am to 10:55 pm.

Transfer time is about 2 minutes. Frequency is of 7 minutes.

 

 

Terminals

Taipei Taoyuan Airport (Taiwan) has two passenger terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, connected to each other through people movers.

Terminal 1

Terminal 1 is home of Concourses A and B. It used to be the main terminal in Taipei Airport until de completion of Terminal 2. Both Concourse A and Concourse B are linked by the main building. It is home of 18 boarding gates. See more

 

Terminal 2

Terminal 2 was opened to reduce the heavy congestion in Terminal 1. It is home of the South Concourse (Concourse C) and North Concourse (Concourse D). Terminal 2 hosts 20 boarding gates. See more

 

Terminal 3

Terminal 3 is under construction. It is expected that it will open its gates by 2020.
